If you want your business to get noticed, exhibiting at a trade show could be the answer. Trade shows can give you a chance to network, get your business name out there and meet potential new clients. It’ll also allow you to get to grips with your direct competitors, as they’re likely to be exhibiting there as well. You can even use your trade show event as PR material, which can give your business even more coverage. The following guide will help you to sort between the different trade show displays.
What kind of display stand should you use though?
Choosing the right display stand for your trade show will usually depend on your budget and your specific needs. There’s a huge variety of different types of trade show displays available and choosing the right one for your upcoming trade show could make or break the event for you.
How much to spend?
Is a good rule not to overspend on your display when you are not planning on using it very often. Displays prices range from $175 for an Economy Retractor up to the high 40K for a large exhibit. Always keep in mind that the display is not going to be your only expense if you are attending a trade show or presentation; printed collaterals and maybe some giveaways are some additional expenses you will have to make, without counting the booth rental, travel, and transportation of the display if you choose to have it handled by a third party.
When is good to invest (overspend)?
If you want to have peace of mind with your display, investing on a reliable model should be considered. We offer a line of Standard or Premium displays that come with lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects and we are completely confident that these displays will always perform as expected. Another consideration to make is the impact and usability. There are some displays where one can switch the graphic rather easily and can have different uses: as a trade show display, as a support display for a presentation, as a marketing material to attract attention to a product; an overall durable, versatile and great-looking display. Also you might want to invest in additional accessories, like lighting, literature racks (that again can be used in many occasions), and table covers.
Fabric or Rollable graphic panels?
There are definitely some displays that will take either one or the other, but if you can choose for some particular displays that have both options, then consider the following factors:
• Experience. If you have handled any or both of the options, try to remember what you liked and what you didn’t.
• Fabric is very lightweight and doesn’t use an additional case for transport. Also the fabric material we use for the graphic panels is wrinkle resistant and machine washable, so panels will retain their color even if they get soiled and need some cleaning. Fabric panels can be printed in most cases as one continuous piece of graphic, with no hems or visible stitching in some cases.
• Rollable graphics are completely blackout (you won’t see through anything at all) but they are susceptible to damage if mishandled, therefore they must be transported on their own case, which adds one more to the whole display kit. There are limits on the width and height of the panel materials, as well as ease of handling, so most large graphics will have to be printed tiled in several panels.
When to go for an Exhibit instead?
An exhibition stand gives you more space to work with, as well as increased branding, the option of built-in audio-visual equipment and other special features. Though they can be more expensive than portable display stands, exhibition stands can make you look much more professional at your trade show.
You can usually choose from small, medium and large exhibition stands, so no matter what size stand you require you ought to be able to find one very easily and just right for your specific needs, tailored just for you with the features you require.
We carry a full line of Pop Up Exhibits, state-of-the-art Fabric Exhibits, great techno-looking Truss Exhibits and simpler yet versatile Aluminum Exhibits. And if you still need to showcase your company with all the rings and bells of an exhibit but lack the budget, we have rental options that will allow you to use a unique and contemporary exhibition stand at a fraction of the purchase price. Renting an exhibit makes sense if you are not planning on going to trade shows very often or you don’t want to look the same every time.
